Quick Tip: To record audio into a new data window in Sound Forge Audio Studio, first close any open data windows. Then click the Record button. The record meters react to sounds you make into your properly connected microphone or other recording source. When you're ready to start recording, click the Record button, when you're done, click the Stop button. Click Close to close the Record dialog box. You now have a new data window that contains the recording you just made.

  • Hi all, in Sound Forge, it is not possible to record a track while listening to another track playing back; a DAW such as ACID or Vegas is needed to do this (‘multitrack recording’).

However, in Sound Forge it is possible to blend two existing tracks together into one new track. For example, voiceover segments can be copied and then blended into an existing music bed file.

Let us know if this helps at all!
