@Sonysoftwareofficial this does help I have been trying to do this now realise this is not possible..What is a DAW such as ACID or Vegas. I am disappointed, just paid £50 and now realise I can't do multi track recording...Can you tell me how to achieve this please

it would be nice to have limiters/compressors DURING recording
Hi all, in Sound Forge, it is not possible to record a track while listening to another track playing back; a DAW such as ACID or Vegas is needed to do this (‘multitrack recording’).
However, in Sound Forge it is possible to blend two existing tracks together into one new track. For example, voiceover segments can be copied and then blended into an existing music bed file.
Let us know if this helps at all!
