Great exercise to work the glutes and build core and hip stability without putting undue stress on the lower back. Ankle weights can be added for more difficulty.
Did anyone ever tried fixing ASLR by doing this kind of leg separation exercise with straight legs in extension and passive flexion (gravity would pull the other leg down..)?
