you're right... i also saw AP sang air supply's song it's really good and also roxette's song. this guy is gifted.. arnel has no intentions of mimicing other singers it's just natural for him to have a voice like his.

SP was world reknowned for his vocals , for a band like "Journey" to replace him , you have got to have talent . Arnel has what they were looking for , so enough of the comparing has been AxEL & what used to be GnR (velvet revolver) .

It might have been closed to SP's voice but he didn't cause the split with JOURNEY. If you had heard him sing the AIR SUPPLY'S SONG, that was not SP's voice. AP was just Chosen by JOURNEY to replace SP & caused some jealousy because he is a good singer, himself. Don't forget he didn't make this to happen.

The voice is perry alright, but for someone to get close to that range is pure Arnel. It might 'never be again' for Journey..but this guy is keeping Journey alive and going strong in a steady if not stronger pace.

yeah the little guy has a big voice..he can definately sing in the closest comparison. Axl Rose is in his own league..putting Axl Rose in would make GnR would never be GnR.

Would have been better if Axl Rose got the gig instead. Then they start playing GnR songs...... no disrespect to the other GnR members....... This guy got the job because he got the closest pipes they could find to match SP's vocal range.
