@Luke850222 This is a classical Norwegian piece, a concert march. Then you have less articulation in other marches. They play it correctly and with grace. The composer, Johan Halvorsen, is from a town called Drammen in Norway. He was a well known and famous composer at his time. Still today we celebrate his birthday. (Yes, I live close to Drammen....) I'm sorry to say this, but if you have to comment a piece, you have to know the composer a little bit.

@schudson9 I don't think there is a change in the music. They do loose articulation.
-
@Luke850222 they played it right.

@FrenchHornista63 Thanks. I'm rather surprised that an accidental is involved. Since the last section is in major, I would have expected the key signature to be changed.

@angreagach I know that the last chord is definitely major but if one person plays it without the accidental it can definitely sound minor. I recently played this piece and the conductor was very particular about making sure that we got the last chord correct and not minor. I know it was a late reply but I hope that it helped :)

Does it lose articulation at around 2:50; or, is that what's written?

@serjjery the sousa version (origional) is orchestral

I played the clarinet solo in the beginning in a symphony I was in. :) Fun piece.
The high section is a bit off time and tuning...
@charliesmillton Except the actual tempo is somewhere around 112 BPM. This isn't Sousa. This march isn't meant to played as quickly as possible. Not to mention a great amount of the effect of the piece would be lost.
