I am norwegian and lives in Norway :D
but I HATE lutefisk soooo bad xD
-
@Ims2202 well, go ahead ... make fun of the Italian kitchen or some good ol' American spareribs, chowder and fries!
Sorry pal, but as a norwegian, concerning culinary issues, I'm afraid you're sitting on the lower end of the barrel. Serious, I understand: the forefathers were poor and all that ... but that's no reason to eat this rancid stuff in the 21st century! For god sake, Norway is a rich country these days!

@margarnp No worries. Not all of us take it as mockery. I'm in my late 20s and have yet to taste it. I've smelt it, hence the hesitation to actually eat it. :p
Hey, to this day I can't eat anchovies. My father tricked me into trying it when I was 5. Utterly revolting.

Does anyone have the video from AFV, where the pushes the lutefisk at her daughter and it falls on the floor and the cats eat it???
That was an f-ing riot.

Sorry, I think you meant mocking? Well actually we are Norwegians. My grandparents are from Oslo, and we grew up with my mom making lutefisk every Christmas..But we kind of broke the tradition because of the smell but were surprised that it actually tasted better than we remembered
