This really hurts the feelings of the supporters of Taiwan independence. Chen Shui Bian is absolutely guilty, he deserves it.

If you read today's - 16 February 2009 - Taipei Times, you will see an article on the Chen's trial: apparently prosecutors are tampering with evidence favourable to Chen's defense.

Umm..

I quote:

"More stunning is, viewers of the show, judges, attorneys, prosecutors, investigators...

ALL LAUGH OUT LOUD"

And this is surprising why? All it means is that they think that Chen Shui-bian is guilty, which most of the country does. Even his own son and his wife's brother have admitted the guilt. I would be VERY surprised if no one laughed, even if just for the humor.

I don't see why they wouldn't be mentally fit to practice the law.

Most people in Taiwan think that Chen is guilty, even if no evidence so far has emerged of Chen's wrongdoing?
This is because the pro-KMT press has been bombarding the Taiwanese with the message "Chen is guilty Chen is guilty" for the past few years.
We all know that KMT controls press, judges, etc, so they can carry out character assassination (like in the case of Chen and other pan-Green officials) virtually unchallenged.

A judge is supposed to find the truth, not to go along with people's prejudices.
But in Taiwan's case we all know that judges, press, etc are all in the KMT
payroll.
Just at Diane Lee: she was eventually exposed, surely not thanks to the pro-KMT
judges, and she was supposed to go to jail.
Now we all know that Taiwanese judges are only interested in preventing investigations against KMT corruption, while INVENTING cases against all those who dare to oppose KMT.

What do you mean the press is pro-KMT? Explain why his son and his wife's brother has admited their guilt then.

Why is the press attacking the current KMT president then?

What do you mean we all know that KMT controls judges and press? Do you have proof? We have proof that Chen is guilty. You don't.

Exactly, what proof do you have that A-Bien is guilty? What proof do you have that the money received was bribes and not POLITICAL DONATIONS?
A-Bien might be guilty, but we need a fair trial, not a trial by media.

Please correct it. It's Ma Ying-jeou's government, not Taiwan, causes this kind of shameful judicial system.
