A friend burned a cd and gave it without title nor explanation - a game sound buff friends played. I later found the film on dvd. And I'll say again that this film conveys such good, simple values. Rural France after the war, reclaiming easy normalcy in the face of encroaching modernity; Jacques delays a big car that a child may cross as one example. I understand that a Dutch town began a confetti industry and the re-inaugurated Tour de France did much to uplift villages. Yeah bicycles!

@MrDarwinsDog I just saw a documentary where someone commented on th genius of Tati's use of sound. He was apparently quite obsessive about getting it exactly right. So that may have shown on the cd..
