It's so sad that here in the U.S. our media is actually very sanitized and manipulated by corporate interests so citizens here get little exposure to issues facing vulnerable peoples in Tibet, Darfur or even in China ( where China is committing genocide against its own people, the Uighers, pronounced weegers).
One of the reasons U.S. media is even reporting any information about Darfur is the rigorous efforts to publicize the issue by celebrities such as George Clooney and Mia Farrow.
