Richard Boyd Barrett's place as a TD for Dún Laoghaire is confirmed in the 31st Dáil for People Before Profit / United Left Alliance on the 11th count on Sunday 27th Feb resulting in the elimination of Fianna Fáil's Mary Hanafin.

This means Fianna Fáil have only one TD in Dublin, which is a massive blow (welcomed by many) to the party who have dominated Irish politics since the formation of the State.

The times they are a changing,

The addition of Richard's voice in the Dáil will hopefully be a refreshing change in politics for the people of Ireland.
