  • @chancaine I've been not just looking at, but doing Shotokan for 35 years. I like this guys technique a lot, have been watching his videos and applying the principles to our tekkis and heians. There is much of value here.

  • @chancaine Perhaps you should learn humility, before you criticize another. If our techniques look bad, post a video of yourself doing better. then i might nod and agree, otherwise, your talking out your ass.

  • @duntazemebrahxD To me, it's always been Pinan Nidan. But then again, it's the only Kata that I truly feel that I neglect.

  • @chancaine I chuckle because we Okinawan practitioners feel that the Shotokan & Kyokushinkai folks have lost their way! ;-)

  • Those techniques look absolutely ridiculous! You guys should learn better and more powerful kime. But well - how could you? 'Cause you're all to scared of fighting and that's why your techniques are a whole bucket of shit!

    Look at Shotokan and Kyokushinkai if you wanna know how energetic moves look like!

  • Vaya este Kata en este estilo tiene bastantes diferencia con el heian yondan de shotokan, este video me motiva a hacer un analicis comparativo, muy bueno por cierto

  • In Shorin Ryu, we try to keep our back straight and not lean the upper part of our body. Keeping it seated on our hips. This is a great demonstration of this kata!

  • To me Pinan Yondan is the most difficult of the Pinans... call me crazy but it is D;

  • In mae geri, we will sometimes land forward, sometimes back. If the kata makes progress towards a direction, then usually we land forward. if we are stationary, then we land in the foots original position.

  • it's a simple explanation you said Shudokan, this is a another type of Shorin Ryu, Called Matsubayashi Ryu. Kata's are performed differently depending on the exact style taught.
