Live solo Yamaha electric double bass exploring the harmonic series with Roland foot pedal.

This music has a story its about Pythagoras, an imagined steelworker with a love of maths, so he was given a nickname by his mates, as is custom in Wales. Working in the blast furnace at East Moors steelworks, Cardiff (closed 1978), a hot and dusty job, he heads off after a shift, longing for a couple of pints at the Ruperra Arms. This piece is a celebration for those who laboured in Dowlais works in Cardiff.

  • Шикарно!

  • "what a joke" it's good to see the art of constructive musical criticism isn't dead!

For myself I like to hear the extended sonic possibilities of instruments, especially when they work like this piece.

  • It is extraordinarily amazing how anyone can create sounds like this using natural harmonics. truly wonderful!!!
