update of my alopecia

I'm gonna show this vid to my wife. Last night she was calling from over-seas on business and crying and asking me if I'd still love her without hair - and of course I would and do. I wish somebody could calm her down..she's the most precious girl to me.

You are beautiful even without the wig and their are women out there that buzz their hair off just for their beauty, and not the extra things that make them attractive. You have more beauty in your personality and who you are, and no less amount of hair will ever change that. Who cares what other people think? No one is perfect, everyone has something about them and that is something to love even more. Just live your life to the fullest, and know that their are people that love you!

i think the wigs give me a complex... i'm just going to be me and stay bald for a while... at least until i feel comfortable with who i am. i am however doing some research on the different possible remedies

Alopecia is really hard to deal with. I feel for your wife -- I ask my boyfriend that all the time. As women, and as represented in the media, we are shown that so much of our beauty lies in our hair. It's almost, aside from breasts, what MAKES us feminine. So we get scared that if we lose our hair, we're no longer feminine. She's really lucky to have someone who can see past the alopecia... :) I hope she realizes that.

I like it!! I have alopecia also..I am losing quite a bit of my hair. This will be the second time its happened. I am really feeling down about it. I have wigs, but they don't look like me anymore. I am thinking about getting a real hair wig. I don't know though.

Hi, I have this too. This is my second time and it is about the same as yours. But I've learned to live with it. It hardly bugs me anymore. I have started shaving my head right to the skin which is O.K. cause I'm a guy, but I sort of have a little dent in my head so that sucks too, but it's not that bad, there's worse things than alopecia areata and dented skulls right.  So it's a good thing I am sexy (jk) But you look really pretty and the wig really complements your face, very sexy.
