I dont get it, what was that all about?

I bought all the Sparks albums in the 70's

This was the last of 21 concerts, in which all of the 21 albums were played over the course of a month. To celebrate the end, they 'burnt' their albums in a sort of, ceremony to celebrate their hard work.
