@2ndShoulderDevil Thanks for the response. I'm pretty sure I've settled on the Kindle Fire. Looks amazing. Thanks again. :)

@Adnama109 Hello, and yes it certainly has been a while. I've never actually owned a nook, but I have played with a friend's before and I was struck by the unresponsiveness of the touch screen panel. It turns out that they used an outdated kind of touch screen that isn't as sensitive as the kind most of us with smartphones are used to. It just takes a while to browse through the menus is all. Looking up a word in the dictionary or making a note just takes a little longer on the nook.

@2ndShoulderDevil Hey there (: I realize you wrote your comment on the Nook vrs. Kindle forever ago, but in what way is the Nook interface annoying? My seventy year old grandmother wants a Nook for Christmas...I'm trying to decide which one will be easier for her to handle. All she really wants on it is the ability to easily take notes and read books.

LOL at this speaker....1st you need to download the book, .. then transfer with a USB cord...wow big downside there? ive got 6GB of books ill put straight on there. no problem

FLAGGED FOR MASS ADVERTISING

This is not a comparison, it's a Kindle's commercial. Useless imo!

This comparison is so one-sided.

Yeah, this is really misleading. The Nook is a lot better than it used to be; a recent firmware update made it a lot faster (actually might be faster than the Kindle now). The Nook also supports Epub, and doesn't force DRM down your throat the way Kindle does. The only real downside to the Nook is it's annoying touch interface. And the Sony reader makes up for it's lack of wi-fi by supporting more formats than either the Nook or Kindle.
This is very biased, very poorly done and I like both the kindle and nook.

This was incredibly biased, all true, but biased.
