The second part of a film profile featuring the photographic artist Steven de Koenigswarter that I made for Central Television around 1990.

It highlights his innovative work together with an insight into his personal life ... and includes a meeting with his jazz drummer father whom he hadn't seen for 20 years and hardly knew ... the researcher was Pogus Caesar who also appears in the film.

Looking back at this now, it was a very self indulgent piece, a touch disjointed with little narrative however some of the direction and visual techniques I employed at the time worked pretty well.

Steven's work holds it together with some stunning pieces of art demonstrating an intuitive feel for colour, form and light. I bought one of his pictures after the shoot which I still have ... I think Steven gave Pogus the piece he is seen making in the film.
