Excellent! I loved Robs succinct explanations for these mysterious social media platforms. I feel like I have a bit more of an appreciation for putting these together....thanks Rob

Thanks for the input...as a non computer geek I had not figured out why people would tweet. Now I can see some useful purposes in business.

Great tips! It makes it really easy to see why we should all be spending time tweeting. It now seems a bit less intimidating.

Ok - so I now I know that twittering has some redeeming value. I still haven't done it, though. No compelling reason.

Agree with the send more about others and a little about yourself -- pass on great info and tweets!
Very helpful tips. Thanks Rob!

Explaining everything online in under a minute is quite a challenge! I like the don't "tweet your coolaid" line. I find it seriously interesting that twitter has become the free speech/reliable news outlet though. Scary.
Now, what can we do about raising quality content in real life?!

Hi Squirl,
Thanks for the complement. Yea wouldn't it be great if you could just 'unfollow" certain people in real life =)

Hey Rob, Great tips and great interview! How do you recommend to things like Twitter with profitability (or more so, do you ever mix the two??). cheers...matt

Hi Matt,
Great question. I would say twitter is not directly a profit / revenue source, although a lot of folks are always trying to sell direct from twitter. Really twitter is probably used best as a social equity tool and a way to gain trust from your readership. Probably the best way to measure profitability is to use analytics, look at things like readers that go to your site from a certain tweet or how many people joined your email list from your twitter postings.
