Australia isn't just white. So why does my TV say otherwise?

I'm sick of Australian TV and the lack of colour. I grew up in a very different Australia than what is portrayed on TV.. one with more culture and respect.. yet it is never embraced the way I think it should be. I know I have a lot of people I know with me on this one.

  • Couldn't agree more.. Australia needs more white people like u. Bro to be honest, the last TV show I remember from Australia that had multiculturalism in it was Heartbreak High. And for that reason, I was a fan but that was ages ago and we haven't had anything similar since. Yeah all the shows nowadays show no multiculturalism and everyone on it has Bieber hairstyles.lol

  • @kingpinoy fuck! heartbreak high! haha.. thats right.. that was a good depiction of the multiculturalism that exists in Australia.. well good enough. One of my south african mates was cast as an extra!

yeah where's the latest heartbreak high? i reckon that would work these days even more so!

  • You're a minority? I don't mean to be rude, but what is your ethnicity? You just look white.

  • @framptonorchablis yeah i was referring to the area in which i was born and raised. I am white.

  • Your video is fine, but I don't think you are really explaining your question too well. My town is 95% caucasian demographic, and I assume that Sydney is about 70% caucasian demographic. If you are talking about televised multiculturalism as in experiencing a culture (and not race) in some specifics, television won't do that for you. So, if you live in a big city like Sydney, you have to switch off and go out experience it yourself. In my situation, I have to pick up a book.

  • @WorldSacred to be honest.. i don't watch TV for this reason. at all.. i write and draw.

    thanks for your opinon though.

  • You are fucking stupid. Italians and Greeks are white.

  • hahaha...you trying to get your own talk back show??? nice work bro

  • I made a video on the same issue :)

  • All people in Australia have the human right to pratice their culture and heritage, no laws say people must assimilate, Australia started as a foriegn culture in a foriegn land and is still the case, the real question is why the majority of australians feel we all need to be the same, is it fear? Im not even sure if the capitalist greedy society is something non greedy people would be atracted to, especially if that society was influenced to benefit a certain belief system

  • @Figgamortis i kinda get where your coming from most of my friends are Asian(indo, Chinese, malay), Sri Lankan , Indian etc. But i dont see them as being of that nationality i see them as being Aussie as they were born here and have lived here their entire lives. So maybe you are referring to people that haven't integrated, which seems a bit silly.

  • Amen brother!, we shud work together to make the better for all our races.

  • "G'day guys!! and welcome back to Huey's Better Homes and Garde..." *Turns of TV*
