We check in with Passion Pit while working on their new album to see what they think of Arturia's brand new all analog synth. Arturia lent us a demo and once we showed it to the guys with Passion Pit we knew we werent getting it back. They liked it so much they had to put it on some of the songs they were doing and even re-recorded some bass parts with it. With is robust sound and ease of use this keyboard will no doubt be a must have!

Heres what Arturia has to say about it.

"The MiniBrute is Arturia's new analog synthesizer. With a pure analog signal path and several innovative features, it sets a new standard for what a hardware synthesizer should be. The pure analog, multi-wave oscillator combined with a huge sounding classic multi-mode filter, and wide range of modulation capabilities will bring new life into your recordings and stage performances. Add to that outstanding features like the Ultrasaw, Metalizer, Brute Factor™, Arpeggiator, LFO with sample & hold, full USB/MIDI/CV connectivity; all of which are housed in a rugged metal enclosure"

  • song at 1:20 ?

  • Callate y tocalo!

  • I'm not really getting why there's so many negative comments? A waste of time & energy really. It's a short little endorsement spot, not a full feature walk through video. It's cheap & has a nice amount of extra features besides knob/button per function. It's cheaper than most rack/desktop synths, almost as small as one. The keys are a bonus, you can throw it in your backpack & use as a midi controller for drums & tons of knobs too. Idk, I'm definitely going to check one out.

  • i'm here to tell you everything about this synth. trust me, it sounds awesome. i won't play it, but it sounds amazing.

  • I usually dont care much about real analogue vs VA, but this 1 got me real excited! I think it's the most interesting piece of gear to check out from this years NAMM!

  • @digitalcp01 lol I agree, but there's no point in having an artist endorse your instrument if they don't talk about it. Lose-Lose situation?

  • Some people seem to be slagging this off on every you tube clip... If you hate this 'stylophone' so much, why do you keep watching clips about it?

  • No patch storage, the smallest keyboard on the market, no seguencer. I purchased an Origin last year and returned it because of multiple bugs and bad encoders. I hope the quality of this synth is better. Arturia support is not too great so beware. It is a shame because they have great ideas.

  • WOW the equipment of my dreams!!! :P

  • This video has put me onto Passion Pit - they're pretty good... obviously, they use loads of analog synths !!
