First start of my Eggenfellner Subaru E-6 engine. This is a converted automobile engine for aircraft use and is capable of producing 200 hp. Instead of burning just expensive aviation fuel, I will be able to use the cheaper 92 Octane auto fuel, or as necessary, aviation gas. Repairs and maintenance of this engine will also be cheaper then a typical aircraft engine. Being water cooled, it will have far less vibration and will be quieter then the typical air cooled aircraft engine. It will eventually be attached to my RV-8A that I am currently building.
What gear box are you using for the prop drive?

What a great video and looks like an awesome motor.
So is this just build off a standard H6 Subaru block with all the rest custom? Judging by the spark plug location it would appear that the engine is DOHC or am I wrong.
Great video, Very interesting.
