I take no issue with Bachmann's personal beliefs but I'd rather she tackle issues with the force of reason and facts rather than via prayer and "prophetic" visions. I think her party and country would be better off for it. Seriously.

No Michele, Moses ain`t gonna part the Red Sea for you. He`ll only do that for Charlton Heston.

So, according to Bachmann, we should marry people we don't want to marry, just because God says so...

Delusional people crack me up.

She's a professed Christian of the evangelical persuasion. This is not unusual.

@holylight12 That is NOT what it means, see my first comment. If you don't believe me, read the writings from our founding fathers. They all acknowledged the importance of religion/belief in God and the role He has in developing a free and civil society.

@MotherOfManyHorses And you just proved my point government cannot FAVOR any religion and yet.......we are entrenched with God this and God that by 95% of all politicians. Congratulations you made yourself look like an ass lol.
-
@holylight12 I did, now you READ it: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." It says that Congress shall make NO LAW RESPECTING AN ESTABLISHMENT OF RELIGION. Key word: ESTABLISHMENT=1. a. The act of establishing. b. The condition or fact of being established.

@MotherOfManyHorses Yes it does have a seperation of church of state look it up.......
-
@holylight12 Actually, the US does NOT have separation of church & state, that was communist Russia and the liberals used that to twist the meaning of our constitution. Our founders encouraged the practice of religion in every aspect of our government, & they respected every mans right to worship/believe as he saw fit. There is just not supposed to be a "Church of the USA" like they have in England (i.e. "Church of England"). If one's religion does not effect their politics, then why have one?
-
@MotherOfManyHorses What I am saying is that people shouldn't be mixing any religion in politics at all history has proven that to us time and time again. It should be focused instead on common sense and fairness for people of all faith's and non-faith alike. Plus we have the whole separation of church and state.

What a clever editing job.
You need to remember, she is doing exactly what my college professor taught in my public speaking class, "know your audience". She is speaking to her audience. She is speaking in front of a church congregation. This is NOT strictly a political speach.
I'm not trying to impress you. There are billions of people in the world who are not trying to impress you.
But this video will impress people--an elected member of Congress claims to be in receipt of prophetic visions and verbal instructions directly from God, a la Moses.
That is what people will see in this video, that is what happened, and that is my entire point here... quarrel with reality if you will, argue dishonestly if you will--that will impress readers re: MB fans.
