DUDE, AMY LEE WAS BORN IN 1981!!! IN 1983 SHE WOULD BE 2-3 YEARS OLD!! YOU NEVER MESS WITH AN EVANESCENCE FAN!!! IF YOU DO A VIDEO ON THEM, DO NOT LIE!!! First of all, Evanescence was founded in 1995 by Ben Moody & Amy. Amy reveals it HERSELF in videos. And dude, she dosen't write songs for them, she ADMIRES them. She basicly disappeared for since 2009 and just came back in October with a new CD. Please, learn your real stuff and dont lie!

@TheAshleybell1 It was a decision I made when I was 15 in 1983 for the artist who would be the lead singer of Evanescence to use my name. She did not steal my name or the songs I wrote. There were times when I thought that I might perform the songs, but due to stage fright found it not possible except for small crowds. I not only made up the songs, but worked on the logos for the band, her costume ideas, and asked her to dye her brown hair black after she auditioned for me.

@Ilove13Ev Stop being immature and face the fact that Evanescence lead singer did not write all the songs for the band, name the band, or that her real name is not Amy Lee. Even Kurt Cobain used a stage name which came from the UK band King Kurt which was formed in 1981. He had read about the band in an early '80s Sound magazine which in the same issue had an article about Def Leppard. Kurt had been on the Rock Till You Drop Tour when I met him and Joe Elliott.

@Ilove13Ev Rocky was given the nickname years after Tommy Lee of Motley Crue gave me the nickname Bullwinkle. I was watching Rocky & Bullwinkle while I was supposed to be getting ready to meet up with the bands to work on songs when I was 15 in '83. I am mentioned on the first page of Motley Crue's trashy book "The Dirt" as Bullwinkle and later the redhead with a Jag. My first car was a Mustang and I liked Jags which is why Kurt designed the Jagstang guitar in my fav color Aqua.

@BringMeToTheShadow2 Lithium is Atomic #3 (3 being my favorite number and why I named the bands 3 Doors Down and Three Days Grace - Grace being my mother's nickname for me and why Andrew Farriss of INXS named his daughter Grace) and I wrote 3 for Britney Spears..."twister on the floor" is about The Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana playing twister and is on Youtube.

BringMeToTheShadow2 Joe and I discussed the meaning of Aerosmith's album title Toys in the Attic (the song Walk This Way is on this album) which means "insane" or "go crazy". Also on this album is Sweet Emotion which inspired me to write Sweet Sacrifice..."it's true, we're all a little insane." My Bohemian great great grandfather's name was Ludwig and it was Beethoven's letter to his "Beloved Immortal" which inspired the song "My Immortal"...Amy also means Beloved.

@BringMeToTheShadow2 Obviously, you have not read all the comments. I am Amy Lee born in 1968. I started writing the songs in 1983 after Joe Elliott of Def Leppard along with an unknown Kurt Cobain discovered me at a concert at Boutwell Auditorium (May 15). The duet Broken was inspired by lyrics in Def Leppard's Bringin On the Heartbreak..."BROKEN rose with laughing eyes". Joe & I worked on Pour Some Sugar On Me using Aerosmith song "Step inside, WALK THIS WAY"
Alright. Make a video proving you are who you say you are and I will wire you 1,000,000 dollars.
