Independence Mo Hawthorne Place apts

on no particular day , in good old Independence Mo (home of Harry S Truman and Ginger Rogers) at the income based government housing projects on 24 hwy and 291hwys .. and wow .. nothing happens ..
just a bunch of ordinary folks having an ordinary day .....

@Heavenistotouchyou NO WAY! We lived on 5th... 17005 E 5th. Unfortunately, the apartments have always been low income. I got jumped there when I was in elementary school, but the girl who jumped me didn't live in hawthorne proper, she lived in the duplexes at the south end.

I grew up here in the 90's before and after it became low income. I was a kid so I didn't pay much attention but I remember some drug busts, SWAT would actually train or practice in the vacant apartments next to ours. It became a rather noisy neighborhood after the lower income folks moved in. My younger brother and I were almost kidnapped twice while walking home from school down 5th street.

these places can be pretty big inside with a bacement and up stairs..

when I was going to school in 19 75 and date a girl who lived in their before it became a low rent income it use to be a high rent area...for families The Hawthorne pool was the coolest party place for kids in the summer.. I mean it was the place...top of the cool to hang out at....hawthorne pool and lot of girls...yeah..LOL

If you like weird and cool at the same time...Let me clue you in on old Hawthorne..apt. IN the very center of the complex you have a old grave yard.with tomb stones set in a big concret circle lay flat

These grave where probably settlers whom died on the old trail coming west.. 24 hwy was the high land ridge running threw Indep. to K.C.. The road is in the exact location the wagon trains would of traveled to reach west port before heading on one of the three trails the..

The turn you took at the light off 24 hwy? ...if you turn right off 24 hwy you enter Old Hawthorne, concord circle..drive In 1976 when I was married to my first wife..we lived in the bottom of one of the old area hawthorne apartments in this circle.. the couple up stairs where fighting in the middle of the night.. the next thing I know he fell and the ceiling light in our apartment fell and broke... then I heard the lady next door to them say to the woman; AHH>> YOU STABED HIM

i watched this before but guess i didn't comment on this... hmm, I used to live in hawthorne in the 80's,a dn again much more recently, thanks for the drive thru, a cool idea
