This is the first intricate-looking 3-d card I made using 65# paper, glue and an X-acto knife.
Not quite sure if it qualifies as origamic architecture, but it was fun to make.

Each of the eight squares is 5cm x 5cm with a horse silhouette cut in it.

If you look closely, the two halves do not align perfectly, and the bottom flag peeks out a bit beyond the borders. I just thought I'd nitpick it before anyone else does ;)

The project took about 2 1/2 hours, plus about another 2 for making small study pieces and researching horse silhouettes.

I'm thinking of making a pink one for my niece's birthday in January. Hopefully I get a bit better at this by then.
