Na Ginga da Nega by Dilermando Reis and Nelson Piló arranged by Ivan Paschoito and played by me, Samantha Muir. A couple of months ago Ivan Paschoito very kindly sent me his arrangement of this wonderful piece! It hasn't yet been published so I am very lucky to have the score. Thank you Ivan! The title means something like, the swing of the woman... It's a fun piece and great to play but quite tricky - especially the pizzicato bit in the middle which is a nightmare to play on a Smallman (the top is very thin and I really had to be careful not to get too carried away!!) I hope my playing captures some of the Brazilian flare of the rhythm. Also, I didn't want to sound too "classical" if you know what I mean, which is quite hard for someone brought up on Sor, Carcassi and Tarrega! This video is dedicated to Ivan Paschoito - thanks for bringing Dilermando Reis into my musical life!

  • Won-der-full! Your playing really makes me fall in love with the music of Reis and gives me lots of inspiration. Yes, I think you put enough Brazilian swinig in the music. And is it published already, because I wanna set my teeth in it!

  • @HoundDogTail Glad you like my Brazilian swing!! I don't think the music is published yet. You can ask the arranger, Ivan Paschoito, he has a channel here on YT.

Thank you for your kind comment!

    Best wishes,
