Yes, they are really strict about how people dress when they go in there for a meal or a drink, but aren't staying at the hotel. But, 'cos I was staying there, I wore jeans and T-shirts and no one said anything.
Yes it's a suite. Actually the Burj doesn't have any 'rooms' at all. They are all suites and every one is over two floors. This is the third up from the basic level one. The basic one is over two floors but without a window in the one bedroom. Then the next more expensive one is over two floors with a window in the upper floor single bedroom. Then there is the one in my video. Stupidly big for one person, but they do like to give free upgrades if they have a spare room.
Yes, you are right. Normal hotel rooms are about 40 sq. metres in size. This room was 325 sq. metres. There were doors in the place I didn't even open. I only discovered there was a fully equiped kitchen in the place on the last day. I actually had real trouble sleeping there. It was just too big to feel comfortable.
I thought the idea of a hotel was to sleep in it throughout a couple of nights while on vacation. This is not a hotel room. Its a house. No. Its a mansion. No. It's a plasa!
