Rick Barry is a retired American professional basketball player. He is considered by many veteran basketball observers to be the greatest pure small forward of all time as a result of his very precise outside shot, uncanny court vision, knowledge and execution of team defense principles, tenacious and ofttimes demanding will to win, and unorthodox but accurate underhanded "granny shot" free throw shooting.[1] Barry is one of few elite players who have altered their games without losing effectiveness; he broke into the professional ranks as a rebounder and all-purpose points machine before he morphed into a primary ball distributor and lethal perimeter threat.

  • Rick Barry= A-Hole and he proved it!

1981 NBA Finals, CBS analyst, Rick Barry made a controversial comment when CBS displayed an old photo of African-American colleague Bill Russell, and Barry joked that "it looks like some fool over there with that big watermelon grin". Barry later apologized for the comment, claiming that he did not realize that a reference to watermelons would have racial overtones. CBS did not renew Barry's employment for the subsequent season

  • @deathByStupid You forgot to add Elgin Baylor to your list. His shooting percentage was not that great, but he held career averages of 27 points and 12 rebounds.

  • Has anyone ever heard of Elgin Baylor? Argument over.

  • @deathByStupid Havlicek was not as good a passer as Rick Barry
