... they have a great chance for a marketing coup by releasing a remake on the 20th anniversary of the original FF7...ending their endless crisis project and releasing the fastest ever selling game, which is expected to come out for about 5 years now by MILLIONS of fans... sure they won't make this much profit?? after public statement that the producer would love creating the remake with the original staff after conclusion of working titles..its a matter of time..not hope..

Yeah I agree there will be no PS3 remake but they might make it for the PS4-later consoles.I want it as bad as all you guys seriously Square remake it there's a petition that dates back when they were still squaresoft.

I'm sure they're also waiting to capture the next generation of gamers so then they'll have an even wider market. Hopefully I can join Squre-enix by the time they start remaking!

umm, well I went to the website u posted in ur description, and another link on it brought to a page on the same website saying that its only been released for PS3 but u can only download it from the online store on the PS3. now, I have a huge feeling this isn't true, so no one mock me lol but just to be 100% certain can someone who has a PS3 tell me if it is? I don't have one

i have been posting this all over any vid that talks about this i heard it from xplay or from a vid game confrence i watched and a representive from squarenix said that it would take 10 years to create a full fledge remake of final fantasy vii and i dont think thats counting how much time it would take to VO the game

In March of 2010, the head of Square Enix that if they have the time and man power to it, they would definitely look into it. Even the head of FF XIII said it comes down to the amount of man power, and the fact that all origional developers are on different titles right now. So its still a possibility. Whether or not they CHOOSE to go ahead is another thing

That is why i haven't bought PS3 yet , the only games i like to play are mostly square enix games , so i decided not to buy ps3 until ff13 or 7 remake released , and thank god they release it in japan be4 in the US so u can read reviews about it and turned out to be a total let-down for FF fans , so i haven't bought it yet and won't buy it until ff7 remake is out or i''ll wait for ff14 to come out .
