Hello Dr. Stephen. My favorite iPad app is the Ghostwriter Notes. My friend recommended this to me that I should go to majorspot[dot]com
I use this whenever I have executive meetings. And it is very easy to take down notes.

Can I export my Audionote files to Microsoft Word? My college uses Microsoft Word, and I still use a PC at home.
Can I organise my notes on Audionote into categories (such as subjects like 'Politics') and then organise those categories into sub-categories (such as 'Politics - Democracy')

Is there any app that will allow to open an pdf file and take notes inside the PDF file?
Cuz my university teachers give as everything on PDF and we need to take some notes on the pdf file sometimes

Evernote has been my favorite application. I've been using an iPad for 6 weeks in class and it works really well.

I would recommend the 64GB, but I would also wait until the end of January because Apple will be announcing new iPads this month and they will likely increase the hard drive size and add a camera with a similar price. 3G allows you to connect to the internet over a cellular network which is great if you are not near a wifi connection.

I am going to be getting the iPad for law school and I have a question about the audio notes app. How close do you have to be in order for the microphone to pick up the notes? For example, I'm going to take the iPad into class with me. I was thinking about using the Audio Notes app to record my professor's lectures. Do I need to sit in the front of the class?

@Hughett07
It depends on the audio in the lecture hall. I have used it in lectures and it was working well but the rooms had good audio. I would likely sit near the front of the room to help this out and test it in the room you intend to use it.
