@saw77777 I don't know what you're watching, but that wasn't even an icing call....

@FunkyPickle123 Oilers fan here, too - totally agree with you. Iginla is a class act; it was an accident, plain n simple. Pat Quinn shouldn't have been fined though for what he said - sending him to an old folks home would have sufficed.

Quinn is right. Hockey today sucks because of the rules. All it does is benefit dirty players without repercussions.

As a Sabres fan, who has generally no bias for/against either of these teams, that was more of a bad hit than dirty. I really don't think Iginla tried to trip him, he went for the puck, Souray fell and he couldn't stop.

You're 100% right.

well the thing is quinn its not old school hockey anymore so nobody is gonna get hit with a stick over their heads unless u wanna ruin ur reputation in the nhl and be on the dirty list with todd bertuzzi

pat quinn is fuckin right\

haahahaha pat quinn wtf ... It's an accident . It's so obvious. ahahahaa . I'm SO glad he's gone .
Im an oilers fan and I will gladly take any chance I get to Bash the flames. However, this is such a blatent accident. I think Iginla is a very talented player. If anyone or anything should be to blame, it should be the touch icing. In my opinion the NHL should join the rest of the leagues around the world and move to automatic icing.

Frankly speaking, Iginla is not the type of player who would intentionally injure someone in this manner. He was trying to win the race and avoid icing; his stick was on the ice to touch the puck. It's quite apparent that Jarome wasn't expecting Sheldon to fall if you consider his reaction following the incident.
