This is a mid-late 1970's vintage spiral bevel gear generator. The control relays have been gutted out of the panel and retrofitted with a programmable controller. I'm surprised to see the original 6 pulse Inland DC drive moving the cradle. At a guess, I'd say the serial number is around 76xxxx. Mechically, these machines are pretty bullit proof. Electrically, it was over-engineered as well with very expensive thick insulated wiring.

Great video of this classic production line machinery, tho I would rather hear the whirring of the machine than listening to the Glen Garry GlenRoss jazz score over and over and over.
If I watch a video of a particular piece of industrial equipment, I want to hear the equipment running, NOT jazz music.
Next video, please don't add any music that mutes out the natural sound of the machinery.
If your equipment if good enough to make a video, then its good enough to listen to also, don't you agree?
