Ive been wondering who played this song for years, really surprised me to find out its REM, such a good song

i've read this was recorded in a old, apprently haunted house in new orleans.. sounds like it was recorded in a big, open room, adds to the over all sound of the song. one of my favorite tracks by the band

I'm sorry for your loss. We also had a beloved dog, Breezy, who died of cancer. This entire album reminds me of the my paternal Grandmother's death. It was in the winter of 1992. There was a nasty ice and snow storm going on. My parents, sister, and nephew left from Denver to Iowa to go to the family. The trials they had just getting there is a story in itself. I stayed home in Denver to care for the pets. Very sad, just very sad.

This was my first ever CD and this track has been stuck in my head, intermitently for a mere 19 years. I wonder what they imagined it as about.
