God, the Bible, and Homosexuality, what is said, and what is not.

God loves everyone, and the Bible does not say anything about homosexualty. What it does condemn is rape, sex before marriage or "fornication" (which for gay folks we can't do anything about thanks to the christians stopping gay marriage), prostitution, idolatry, greed and pride. God tells us that we are to love one another and help our bretheren (brothers). He also tells us to help the needy, homeless, and people who can't do for themselves, I don't see many churches giving people ho,es and taking in children.

We need to stop the Churches from lying and abusing the Bible in the name of God, to condemn us GLBT folks. The church used the Bible for years to "back up" their hate for gays, which is sad. If you look at Matthew 15:9 Jesus tells us how the churches are: But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

The church worships God in vain yet they teach the doctrins of man, not Gods word. So do not take their evil words to heart, pray to God to lead you to the right path you need to be on in life, trust in God, not man, for man is vile and evil and they do things in vain, in the name of God.

Study the Bible for yourself, and read each verse that christians use against us gay and lesbian people, then go read that entire chapter and you'll see how the church lies to its people. God Bless!

You posted what the Hebrew Bible says in Leviticus, it still says it's a sin.

people can try to seperate themselves from gays like they are above them, but ALL people are sinners.

@spamagee590 Keep telling yourself that. The Hebrew bible says in Leviticus 18:22 "Man shall not lie with males in a womans bed, it is ritually unclean." A womans bed was hers and hers alone. At any rate its invalid as the OT laws were fulfilled and nobody goes by them anyways.

@smurfboywv Your the one that is tossing scripture out claiming it was changed by the catholic church, however, if you were as good about knowing God's word as you try to say you are, then you would know there are at least two distinct different lines of the history of the Bible.

The protestants preserved the books of the Bible away from catholic influence, the Jews did the same thing, you read the catholic Bible all you want, the ones unchanged, still say man on man is an abomination.

@spamagee590 A persons personal opinion, and what is actually in the Bible, are 2 completely different things. God nor Jesus never speaks of homosexuality since they had no concept of it thousands of years ago. Jesus even healed a roman soldiers slave, which in those times boys were used for sex by those soldiers. The Bible condemns temple prostitution of any kind, idol worship whether sexual or not, and he condemns those who use statues and animals as their God. Its not about being gay.
