BERMUDA'S GOMBEY BABY Devonshire Pre-School

To encourage young children to love reading and books, Bermuda businesses are sponsoring a gift of locally authored books to nursery and preschool children in support of World Book Day on March 3,2011. The children of Devonshire Nursery were introduced to Gombey Baby and Goodnight Bermuda by Joan Aspinall, the two books they will receive from Georgio Zanol from Lindos Grocery, Norma Cross and Judy Lee of Outerbridges Sherry Peppers, and Chris Marshall of Cartridge World. Model for Gombey Baby, seventeen month-old Norhyon made an appearance with his mother Dy-Juan DeRoza Brown, to the delight of the principal Mrs. Delia Foley and the teachers. Members of the public are encouranged to support over a thousand children by donating selected books for nursery age children available at the Brown's Bookmart and other book outlets throughout the island.
