what is the background noise? is it a sample?

Mu71L80R is right, you need to write a section, bounce it and then put the live session to the side and use the bounce down for guidence and then go back and edit when you need too. Only thing I could recomend to help it more is to put more ram in, and get 3 decent HDD, 1 for Logic & OS, 1 for your EastWest Samples, and another for your Project files. Its all down to £££ lol.

that's exactly what i'm talking about, they compose a section and each one must be exported to WAV or AIFF and ensemble every one :P as I told you if you wanna work like a normal person you must to buy an Nvidia Tesla Supercomputer with 960 cores and 32gb ram ddr3 2000 :( sad but true

I don't know what you mean - so, they create a section (like a bridge or chorus or verse) and then save it to a wav file on their harddrive? And then do what with it? Mix it with other wav files until they get a complete piece?
Also, don't some people store the program / samples on a separate external HD to make things faster? I have a power PC G5 with 5 gigs ram. What if I

Well this is a really heavy program, most guys that work with it make a section and then export it to a wav file... Unless you buy a tesla super computer you must to work by that way :(

yes, but.. GPO is good for its price
Hey utube9000,
Im running EastWest on an 8 core Intel Mac 5400 Harper Town (late 2008 model) with 8GB ram and decent HDD, and tbh, if I have more than say 8 channels each running EastWest, with one sample on each and maybe a few other plugins going it will get choppy, and sometimes come up saying it cant play back.

That's really strange.I'm running an iMac (early 2009) with 4gb ram and a dualcore processor. I'm able to load about 24 channels with East West and some plugins.
Try to freeze some tracks (if you're running Logic) click the freeze button if your system is slowing down. I guess that EWQL isn't the problem. It has to be another plug-in. Some plug-ins have an interface that is taking much cpu power.

Yeah, well the other plugins im running are BFD2, Steven Slate Drums, T-Racks Master Suite, Wave Labs Suite, Pod Farm, Guitar Rig. usually have all thses running together with EW so I can see why it may be getting slow lol

It has to be T-Racks. I tried T-Racks for myself and it's slowing the system down like hell because of it's interface.

if it was a little darker, you would have just made a Jaws motif,. would actually be great to hear that theme in a new way ,. could you do that in EWQL?? that would be awesome to hear,. actually im sending you a request,. make a jaws theme, dark and scary, you still should use the famous theme but compose your own music around it,.. lets say you was given the challenge to make the music for a new movie,.. do u take the challenge??

hey man, thank you very much for your interest in one of my compositions. you're right, even if it was not in my intention to create a Jaws-like theme. I'm concerned in creating new compositions, so I can't guarantee to create a Jaws remake. However I'd like to thank you for your request and I'll take the challenge, if I have some free time.
