Attention HH fans, we are all very very very sad about Casey passing away and feel free to express it. There are people out there posting telling us to shut up and go to hell, but dont listen to them! Lets fight their blind hatred with silence! Dont respond to any of their hateful comments, let their hatred fall to deaf ears. We've had ENOUGH of them!
Hawthorne Heights guitarist Casey Calvert died due to the "acute combined effects of opiate, citalopram and clonazepam intoxication," according to the just-released results of an autopsy performed by the office of the chief medical examiner in Washington, D.C. The autopsy listed Calvert's death as accidental, though it added that it was brought on due to "substance abuse." Both citalopram (also known by the brand name Celexa) and clonazepam (also known by the brand names Klonopin and Rivotril) are prescription drugs, the former an antidepressant and the latter used to treat seizure disorders and panic attacks
**the band will not be breaking up!
unfortunatley the tour is still cancelled though
But the fast-rising pop-punk group, which finished up a show in Detroit on Friday night, never got a chance to perform for local fans. D.C. police were called to the 9:30 Club in Northwest Washington about 2:30 p.m. Saturday and found Calvert unconscious on the band's tour bus, according to Officer Junis Fletcher, a police spokesman.

Casey Calvert, 26, was found unconscious in the pop-punk band's tour bus, police said. (Ethan Miller

The band confirmed Casey's death November 24, 2007. The following is an exerpt from the band's website:
Today is probably the worst day ever. Its with our deepest regrets that we have to write this. Casey Calvert passed away in his sleep last night. We found out this afternoon before sound-check. We've spent the entire day trying to come to grips with this and figure out as much as possible. At this time we're not sure what exactly happened. Just last night he was joking around with everyone before he went to bed. We can say with absolute certainty that he was not doing anything illegal. Please, out of respect to Casey and his family, don't contribute or succumb to any gossip you may hear. We don't want his memory to be tainted in the least. Casey was our best friend. He was quirky and awesome and there will truly be no others like him! His loss is unexplainable. As soon as we know more we will let you know.
Sincerely,
Hawthorne Heights
Eron, JT, Micah and Matt

Hawthorne Heights guitarist Casey Calvert died due to the "acute combined effects of opiate, citalopram and clonazepam intoxication," according to the just-released results of an autopsy performed by the office of the chief medical examiner in Washington, D.C. The autopsy listed Calvert's death as accidental. Dr. John Mendelson, a pharmacologist at the California Pacific Medical Center Research Institute, told MTV News that "Cases like Calvert's are so rare that they're almost nonexistent. It's so rare that you can't even put a number on it,"[19] and that It's exceedingly rare that 26-year-olds die of anything medical. This kind of death is one in several million."[20] Both citalopram (also known by the brand name Celexa) and clonazepam (also known by the brand names Klonopin and Rivotril) are prescription drugs, the former an antidepressant and the latter used to treat seizure disorders and panic attacks.

  • Why would you talk shit.A person died here.Who cares what he did for a living? It's a human being. He had a wife...A family. He had a career ahead of him, and you guys talk shit to him AFTER he died because you don't like him as an artist.....You all are low life idiots who can burn in Hell!

  • @wangobangodango you're a fucking low-life stop talking shit.

  • what killed him? :'(

  • @wangobangodango Post a video of you screaming better than him. I'm waiting poser.

  • @wangobangodango Do you just go around trolling every Casey video? He's famous man. 91,000 views. Let's see you die and get that many for a memorial. Post a video right now of you screaming better than him. Do it. Prove you're better than him junkie.

  • @marissalsazombeh You should be ok in low doses. I was on Zoloft (another SSRI) and Klonopin at the same time. Just take the right doses--call your doctor if you have some type of flare up with either.

  • @MarissaIsazombeh im taking both the medications for anxiety an panic disorder do u kno what pain reliever it was or was it something stronger then the usual pain reliever medications, i dont want that shit happening to me i got kids....sorry to hear about ur loss....

  • @nevershoutnever423 You'd think his Doc would have told him that :/

  • @SleepingsForTheWeak1 Honestly, people don't need suicide. Most people who commit suicide don't think that they deserve to live and don't think that anyone cares about them. If they believed in God, they would know that God cares about them (God cares about you no matter what, even if you don't believe in him) and nothing else would matter because they know God would be there for them. Please don't stop believing in God. I stopped for a while, and it was probably the worst few years of my life.
