On March 24, 2009 students of Anderson University walked to a local bar and had a beer in protest of the school's policy. The current policy states that students cannot consume alcohol while they are students at AU and that they may not be around other students/people that drink alcohol.

  • AU SUCKS

  • "students cannot consume alcohol while they are students at AU and that they may not be around other students/people that drink alcohol."

what kind of mess is that?

i'm not an alcoholic, but i have drunk alcohol before. just because someone does drink it doesn't make them bad people.

that's invasion of people's personal freedoms.

Mercer University, another Christian school in the South, isnt even like that.

  • I`m glad you are having a good experience. I`m a graduate of Warner Southern and had a good experience also. The things I commented about regarding Anderson School of Theology were my own experiences. I truly am glad you are having a great experience and are seeing God do great things. I don`t think you would like hearing your teachers tell the class that if anyone is from your home state they are responsible for horrible racial crimes because they were born there. Glad you fit in.

  • I attend Anderson University now, I think this is a great place where God is doing amazing things. A place where I feel at home. A place where I can truly be myself. I'm 21. I don't drink because the policy says I can't. I don't see the big deal. This place is not toxic. That is incredibly disrespectful. This is as I said a place where God is doing amazing things.

  • I`m not for alcohol, but when I worked at Anderson University cleaning the dorms. I found lots of alcohol bottles left behind in the dorms from people who rented the rooms in the summer months. Why were the rules not inforced on those people? I found Anderson University to be a very prejudiced place to study when I attended as a student. I was told many times by teachers in the seminary that I was responsible for slavery because I was born in South Caroina. What a horrible and toxic place.
