A massive manhunt in northern California -. Aaron Bassler— a reputed reclusive opium farmer—is wanted in connection with two murders and a gun battle with police. The suspect is believed to be hiding in the Redwood Forest.
A Florida judge is releasing this grainy jail house video of Casey Anthony learning that her daughter's remains had been found near her family's home in Orlando. The footage has been under judicial seal since 2009, but a local tv station argued its release as public record. Anthony's defense contends the video's release is a violation of medical privacy laws because the footage was taken from a waiting room in the jail's medical facility.
And foodies everywhere are putting their sense of taste, to the test! The latest epicurean trend involves fine dining--in complete darkness. Yes, diners are in the dark--literally--as they're feast on a five course meal in a pitch-black dining room. Adding to the edible experience, the meal is served by a team of visually impaired staff.
And finally, behold the world's first-ever commercial--designed for dog? Nestlé, the world's biggest food company, is pitching its Purina dog food directly to pooches. The commercial uses high-frequency sounds intended to capture the attention of dogs, while remaining inaudible to humans.
