Kiri Nya, Latokpa, Niongo & Abukenke/ Donounwa
The song, Kiri Nya is a popular song for Eşu/ Elegua (guardian of the crossroads) heard in Matanzas, Cuba.

There are three rhythms played afterward each paying tribute to blend of playing styles from Nigeria, Cuba and beyond. These Variations are my own and, in no way, should they be interpreted as traditional rhythms from the Lukumi repertoire or Oru Secu.

! I have broken with a Lukumi tradition, in the sense that I have allowed a girl to play these drums.

Iya Ilu: Obi Kaye
Omele Abo: D. DePasquale
Omele Ako: V. Ferguson

*Sorry you had to hear me sing!

and according to what I could read here about names for this ant that...and changing things...JUST BE YOURSELF OBI...MOST IMPORTANT IS THE HEALING EFFECT that your percussion is bringing..DO WE WANT CLOONED ARTISTS ? NO ! You are good in it and yes did hear it your song..haha...also good...you have to hear me when I'm using basic earth-sounds.You have than to hear the imitiations of my neighbours...thanks! Hug from inanna from imeem !

  • Thank you very much Inanna...
