I'm black and I'm from Alabama. And I'm told that I do not have a black accent or a southern/country accent I even had a teacher call me a yank and one that called me a "Black Square" didn't bother me though. I thought it was funny.

it all depends on ur region...African Americans from taxes have taxes accent which is different from blacks in new york. it just depends on the region you grew up
