This 1947, diesel powered, locomotive crane is moving under its own power on the 40 year old track at Anderson Quarry, SC. The crane was purchased as scrap and has been partly restored to operation. It is being moved to a spot where it can be picked up and moved over the highways to the SC Railroad Museum where it will be fully restored.

  • Ooops, I meant #712.

  • Have there been any attemps to cosmetically restore ACL 714? I must say I am impressed at the fast progress being made on the SCRM line. I was unable to make it to ride Flagg Coal 75, but from pictures and videos I have seen, the museum has come a LONG way from what it was when I was there in 2004, I think it was.

  • They used to be there but they were sold for scrap or to other railroads years ago. The ex ACL No 714 is still at the Museum
