The eco-hood is a premier student residential complex. Built on a 16-acre vacant site at the southeast corner of Ackerman Road and Kenny Road, eco-hood will serve as a three-part experiment: an alternative energy demostration project and testing facility, an ongoing social experiment on sustainable decision-making, and a study to determine how to commercialize or transfer truly sustainably living practices to existing communities outside of the university setting.
