Tree huggers, hippes and douche bags boycott all you want it's a waste of time. Most BP stations (like most gas stations are independent, they just sell under the BP logo. Oil from all drilling companies is mixed at refineries and sold to any other retailer. So no one knows if you are getting 100% BP or 50% Exxon 50%Shell or a mix of many. BP make hardly anything from fuel stations.

If you want to boycott BP they sell to airlines (so don't get on a plane) plastic companies (don't use plastics) and don't use any fuels because it may be mixed with BP fuel and you will never know, as we know Transocean owned the FAILED rig BP just own the rights.

@Tressco that was an article from the Borowitz report which is supposed to be comedy, although its not very funny. In the same article they also say that GS also shorted Lindsey Lohan's acting career.

No joke: Goldman Sachs shorted Gulf of Mexico - It turns out that Goldman Sachs really did place shorts on TransOcean stock days before the explosions rocked the rig in the Gulf of Mexico sending stocks plunging while GS profits soared -- benefitting once again from a huge disaster, having done the same with airline stocks prior to 911 then again with the housing bubble.
