Access just released their Darkstar version of the TI Polar. This seemed like the perfect excuse to play with a Polar to Troy and I! -Brian

  • hi, what is the synth ti the right of you in the beginning? its got like a big elevated monitor raised up..?

please get back to me on the name of the synth...thanks

  • @dm3857 That is the Arturia Origin Keyboard.

  • what is the difference between polar and darkstar? just the color? nothing new sound etc?

  • @whitemsk The only difference is the color, which obviously makes it sound better :D

  • and wait its over a 1000 more expensive yes?

  • @TheBasscontroller Noooo. Actually they are very close in price... only a hundred or so difference

  • @DuffanyHero It's just you... This beats any soft synth hands down. But it's still nowhere near my Voyager.

  • @kartzka $3,100+, not hard to come up with. ...for 3- to 4 average patches not even CLOSE to the original motif 6, KORG M50, fl studio... and beyond: your own highest-quality sound sources to synth with: Platinum-rimmed fine crystal champagne flutes, brandy glasses... THE Bells-/Chimes! ...genuine Diamond studs wrapped in genuine Silk! Solid Oak-/Rosewood-/Ebony wall panels: Acoustic Panels! ...beads, buttons, too, precious metals-accented, too! THE Violin... Classical Concert Guitar Plectra!

  • @Orbsee You can get a decent midi controller and something like Camel Alchemy for relatively inexpensive. I've used both hardware and VST and while many producers swear by the warmth and fullness of hardware synths based on their design and oscillators, the truth is that that's not what makes the difference to most people regarding enjoyment and professional quality. It's personal taste. Nobody every released a dud track and said, "Man, if I had only used hardware it would've been a hit!"

  • @Orbsee

I asked the same question years ago. I just bought a TI 1. I use soft synths now to compliment the TI in the mix.

  • What is with drum shit 1:30.

    Love IT.

  • Just got a TI 1. Nice.

  • @DuffanyHero i think the patches in omnisphere are pretty shit

  • im new on this matter, more of a orthodox instrument player that just got into electro stuff for making music. I'm going to shoot up straight noob question so please don't feel offended guys..

What make this thing worth buying when u can just use a 100 dollar midi keyboard, hook it to a laptop, and use vast array of software with, in a studio and live playing..??

  • Is it just me or is this inferior to Omnisphere... and for 10 times the price...

  • I want this so bad XD, but it'd be a while even if I sold my snow to get this.
