@leonardwilson85 : Ahhh... you must not be from the area; everyone in NYC and surroundings know not to take Amtrak between Trenton and New Haven 'cause its cheaper to take commuter trains.
Acela's TOTALLY worth it if your traveling far (like from NYC to DC)

@leonardwilson85 I took Acela a week ago from New Haven to Penn Station. I was not impressed. It wasn't really faster than Metro-North. It wasn't worth the money I paid.

How did you EVER get away with shooting video onboard? These day I'd be too afraid to try (unless it's a railfan special where it's expected)! Technically, photography cannot be considered an act of terrorism but try explaining that to the Amtrak security! Still-what's your secret? Last time I videoed on Amtrak was 1986-and that was on a railfan trip.

Keep the camera down low (as if you're just carrying it around, not filming) when you see someone. I had to do that in the cafe car here...
