@spongebobcrazy123 I am a dad but kind of both because when my kids were younger, their mother decided she had better things to do and left. From that time, there were a few phone calls but not real contact to speak of. They are now 25, 23 and 21 and still don’t have much to do with her. She is angry about it and blames me, but she did it to herself.

@maconsumner all kids are different! see my daughter dont care when i take her toys away or tv! shes 7 and i spanked her with a paddle or a belt when she was younger (WHEN SHE WAS BAD) and yes i love her to pieces! ha i wish taking stuff away worked with her! but she dont act up like she used to so im safe =P are you a mom? or dad?

@spongebobcrazy123 As my children got older, I found that taking things away from them was far more effective than anything else. With my oldest son it was his skateboarding, with my younger son it was his game system and my daughter it was her social outlets. Find that thing that your child thinks she can’t live without and you have more control over her behavior than a spanking could ever give you. Aanyone that enters parenting with the premis of love is going to do ok.
