  • Btw, for RAM to work at 2000MHz do I have to modify their voltage too? They have a radiator and they're currently running at 1333MHz but their original is 1600. Thanks in advance!

  • @andyyube 750's really dont like 2000mhz all that much tbh. And considering you blatantly dont have a clue about overclocking there really isnt much I can do to help you here as its not that simple to do properly *stress the word properly* - your motherboard isnt great for overclocking no. TBH dude if you are a beginner a sandy bridge 1155 board and cpu ( P67 - Z68 & 2500K) would be a better set up for you to have a play with.

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms Thx for replying, I feel so retard, I'm a pc technician and i know mostly everythin bout pcs but i never ocd or changed anything from stock beside oc-ing my phone. Thx for replying, i appreciate that.

  • @andyyube for me the bios is just a part of correctly setting up a PC dude. the fact you dont know how to manually set your ram to 1600 and you call yourself a technician is a bit worrying tbh dude as thats VERY basic and isnt even overclocking, its just a part of setting up the machine. If I was you Id go and have a sniff round your bios and read some good guides.

  • @timetolivecustoms

Which is better for ocing - Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 @ £50 or

    Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 @ £60

Price doesn't really concern me, I just want a good overclocking board

  • @TheNathlm the difference is minimal but the 'A' is the newer version.

  • @kalosbas do not pass go do not collect £200 go straight to the OC3D Forums once you have the hardware :)

  • @TheStarfox567 the 650 is dual core. So get the 760 as it is a quad

  • thanks for nothing!

  • @456Gamerman yeah maybe even 3.8 or 4.0 but get a good cooler

  • can i overclock it to 3.4 ghz

  • @andyyube why would you want to over clock your ram? any DDR3 is wayyyy over kill for any game... over clocking ram is pointless.

  • man can you tell me if this is good for gaming.

  • the thumbnail pretty much summarizes intel i5 proccessors

  • I am using the i5 760, H55M-UD2H and Corsair XMS3 4GB DDR3 2000 MHz CAS 9-10-9-27 with the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2... I am not sure what to set any of the settings to as I ain't familiar that much with overclocking, although because I have this CPU cooling system I've been told to give it a go. But I have no idea what to set the BIOS settings to without blowing my computer up or frying anything in my PC.

But I don't want to overclock to extremes, just a nice boost that I'd notice...

  • Which cooler should I use?
