This time I'm going to make wheatley talk (on his own), by adding an onboard audio-processor. Then I'll be adding eyelid placeholders, and at last be putting it all together.

  • You've definately been silent on this project fo r along time.. Is it still goin' on?

  • @trevmister8 Hmm.. Not really. The portal 2 hype wore off rather quickly, and I'm not sure I've got time for these things anymore :/

  • @94thts Ahh. Dang. This was turning out amazingly and it looked like it was nearly done o.o (electronically anyway) o.o

  • @trevmister8 Well I might resume it later, but I'm not sure if people are still interested in portal stuff :P

  • You're gonna run out of smileys eventually...

  • @94thts ..and by the way your soldering skills are nealy as astonishing like Wheatleys hacking methods.

I recommend you to watch that nice tutorial of Dave Jones from EEVBlog: watch?v=J5Sb21qbpEQ

Also, I would recommend that you to make some sort of scripting the PWM values for the servo motors since it kinda looks a bit too much movement while you make it react to the sound. The basic idea would be to declare two arrays, one for PWM value and one for seconds, >>Darn, I am running out of chars

  • @94thts You joking right? Half life 3. Borealis.

  • Dat audio compression.

  • This dude is the next cave johnson

  • Sounds interesting enough in concept, however I think it'd have a better shutter response to do it with a rotary mechanism, like in a camera diaphragm

  • I'm no good at circuit boards. I don't even understand how they work. ^^'

But hey, I might make a plushie Wheatley! I am pretty good at sewing. Not the best, but it's fairly good. :D

Oh, by the way, you got a new subber. ;D

  • um i fell like a complete idiot to this......
