This is to any Huckabee and Fred Thompson supporters out there: Mike Huckabee has sent a letter to Fred Thompson asking for a Lincoln/Douglas style debate between them. Go to explorehuckabee(dot)com and sign the petition! That would be something! Mike Huckabee is the best debater I've seen in both parties so far. I'd like to see how Thompson performs before I make my decision.

I would never vote for anyone who molested children. And I would never vote for Fred Thompson either. Its time to put "Mark Foley" politics to rest. Us conservatives need to send creepy uncle Thompson back to his Amnesty-loving Hollywood home, before he turns our great nation into California.

Business should be easy to start, and most are not easy to start because the law making body becomes infiltrated with ones who wich to use the government as a competition blocker.
These are the thoughts that lead me to the ideas that individuals should have the rights and the state should protect them. I can band together with a small group and overcome, but I have no chance of overcoming if the government thinks it knows best, and uses its coercive power to keep me at bay.

The Democratic system is great for keeping fresh leadership, but it gets complicated, because those who are elected are bought with cash and pummeled with guiding ideas. Corruption becomes law and it can only be implemented by confusing language (that only few understand completely) buried within layers of books that are of the dryest and convoluted sort. So, yeah, the people have a say, but they don't know what to say about it.

I do understand, though, that it is true that all people channel all thoughts through each's own brain. Each person has his own will, and will pursue it whether it be for communtity spirit or greed. One's idea of community spirit will definitely be different from the next. So, whose ideas are pursued? Whose agenda is implemented?
