We went to Bangkok and stay there for 5 days, but about 1.5 away from the city, there's a place called pattaya city, it's almost like Hawaii, very beautiful...we stayed there fore about 2 days...both are nice places, spending your time in all the surrounding cities is a good way to experience all of what Thailand has to offer...if you stay in one place for too long, it will start to get boring, so you and your friend should jump from pplace to place, have fun on your trip!
