This is Episode 2 in a CNC Tutorial Mini-Series where I'll be replicated a DC-Motor CamShaft that was previously professionally milled with my TAIG CNC.

This episode introduces CAD & CAM as I draw and mill a pocket in the center of my stock-material that will be used to establish my X/Y zero as I refixture the part.

This tutorial is a comprehensive walkthrough - soup to nuts. Future episodes will include CAD, CAM, toolpath creation, Feeds & Speeds, Fixturing, and operating the TAIG mill!

  • Actually, I meant the Personal Computer you use for CAD, are you using your Mac?

  • No, a Dell PC. Nothing special.

  • What hardware are you running the software on? Does it take a lot of horsepower? Thanks again for this series

  • Mach3 on a LoCo CNC Servo controller

Where did you get the enclosure? Did you make that yourself?
